It was awfully chilly over the weekend and of course, we found our way to San Pedro which probably felt even colder over there! I had to go pick up my sister and her boyfriend from the San Pedro Port because they were coming back from a cruise. Since we were in the area, we decided to go eat at the San Pedro Fish Market and Restaurant. Although I was freezing my butt off, it was super delicious!

I wore my new black turtle neck body suit with this cool tie detail on the front. It’s a thicker fabric so it kept me fairly warm. I also threw over a longline black coat over it, which was much needed with how windy it was! I felt like my outfit looked super dressy, so I decided to balance it out with a pair of casual sneakers. It was a great all day outfit, because I wore it to dinner with the girls as well!

I absolutely fell in love with this sweater when I first laid eyes on it! Not only is it super soft and comfortable, but it has the cutest pearl details on the sleeves! I’m all about basics but with special details on it. This is such a lovely grey color that goes with everything but then it gives you a little something different with the pearls! Isn’t it so darling?

I love this maxi dress for special occasions, like Fall and Winter weddings, holiday parties, and even Black Tie events! It’s so comfortable and easy to wear while still making me look fancy schmancy! I wore this to a wedding recently and I love the cold/off shoulder details along with the slit, which made it super chic!

The fabric is a lightweight, silky material so it may not keep you super warm but at least it’s long, right?! I paired it with nude pointed pumps and a nude clutch. My hair was the usual loose waves to keep it simple. What would you wear this dress to?!

I remember wearing short denim skirts maybe back in college and haven’t had them in my wardrobe since. I saw these midi length ones on River Island and thought they’d be perfect to add to my closet! I love that they have a slit in the middle, making it easier for me to walk and they look great with just a white t-shirt!

So LA has been going through a heatwave (what’s new), making it terribly difficult for me to transition to fall! It makes me so sad because I’ve been seeing all of these amazing fall and autumn outfits but I’m sweating over here! There was one day where the weather was manageable for me to show you this new jacket I got from Shein! I’m so excited to wear it when the weather permits! It’s super soft, cozy, and almost feels like I’m wearing a plush blanket! Shein definitely has a ton of great cold weather pieces for you at such amazing prices. Even though Summer is over, it’s still sunny and warm in LA. I have been searching high and low for a pair of culottes that fit me properly so I was extremely happy to be able to find these cropped ones. They cinch at the waist and end slightly below my knees so they give me a small waist and I don’t have to worry about altering it or anything! It’s a win win in my book!

I paired it with a white bodysuit so that I don’t need to tuck anything in since the culottes are a light material. Throw on a pair of comfy mules and a small purse and I’m ready for the day!

I have been a big fan of wearing a simple t-shirt under a simple slip dress. It can’t get anymore easy than this! Sometimes, I feel like a slip dress may be too revealing for the occasion and a sweater or cardigan is still a little too heavy. SO putting a t-shirt underneath gives me the right amount of coverage without making me too warm! 🙂

This day was especially hot but we attended an ice cream themed day at Smorgasburg so I had plenty of ice cream to keep me cool. Although I do remember having sweat trickle down my back most of the day….is that too much information?
