If you haven’t started looking for the perfect Mother’s Day gift yet, I suggest you get a move on it! Mother’s Day is this weekend and although we probably can’t do enough to show our moms how much we love them, a little something pretty wouldn’t hurt! My plan for my mom is to get some pretty things for the house that she’s been wanting and take her out for a delicious dinner! But if you’re stumped on what to get, here are some of my suggestions below!

Beach Day Essentials

Summer is almost over so let’s take advantage of the time we have left and enjoy the beautiful weather and any beach time we can get! I live in Los Angeles, but I really don’t go to the beach that often. I’m going to try to go at least once or twice before the weather gets too cold for me to frolic around at the beach.

I’m the type to over pack, so when it comes to planning a beach day, I really make sure to bring everything I could possibly need! Below are some things that are essentials for a perfect beach day!

SANDALS: I’ve been loving tassels and fringes on everything, so on a sandal is completely necessary! The ones above are super cute and I love the taupe color that they come in.

BEACH TOTE: In order to bring snacks, a towel, sunblock, reading material, and whatever else you might need for a beach day, you’ll need a large beach tote. I love this fringed tote in a light chambray blue.

ROUND BEACH TOWEL:  These round towels have been showing up EVERYWHERE and I’m loving it! I definitely recommend these for something to sit or lay on the sand. They also make great photo props!

DRESS: A dress is perfect as a beach coverup. I love just throwing on a simple dress so that it’s easy to slip on and off.

BIKINI: Off shoulder everything is super on trend right now, so why not have an off shoulder bikini top? I love this fluttery one in a light blue color.

SUNGLASSES: To protect your eyes from the bright sun, you’ll need a pair of really cool sunglasses to complete your beach outfit. Nothing like these classic pair of Raybans to do the job!

I hope you enjoyed my beach essentials list and make sure to add one more beach day to your schedule before summer is over!

Maxi Dresses

With Summer just around the corner, I’ve been eyeing some pretty maxi dresses with a mix of fun colors and funky prints! I’m not one to wear prints but I’m contemplating it here and there.
What’s funny is that just recently I’ve been told by my family that I can’t wear long dresses because of how short I am! They were saying that I should not even consider buying any maxi dresses because it wouldn’t look good on me! Can you believe that?! Comments like these are the reason why I started my blog in the first place! I am a deep believer that no matter what body shape or size you are, you can enjoy any style and wear what your heart desires (as long as it’s appropriate). You shouldn’t listen to old and dated style tips that are incorrect most of the time! AND tailoring is your best friend. Yes, most maxi dresses are way too long on me, but I go to my tailor every once in a while to get that fixed and voila, it fits! 🙂
Wear what you want and feel good about it!
I wanted to show you guys a few picks I’ve been looking at and would love to get my hands on sometime soon! Check them out below. Links are provided for my top 4 picks below my collage and all the pictures are clickable so they will lead you to the retailer!

Real vs. Steal: Chloe ‘Drew’ Crossbody Bag

I’m one for splurging on certain things here and there but sometimes finding a look-alike or dupe is just fine with me too!
I have been seeing this Chloe bag everywhere! Tons of other bloggers having been sporting this accessory and I can’t say that I haven’t been tempted to go get one myself but with the price tag on this, I have been stopping myself from even thinking about purchasing it! It’s not in everyone’s budget to spend $1500+ on a purse (nor mine).
BUT for those of you that want a similar look for a more affordable price, below are a few purses that would do! I’ve provided links to the pieces below!

Valentine’s Day Date Outfits

Valentine's Day Date Outfits
Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and even though the boyfriend and I don’t generally celebrate or make it a big deal, it’s fun for me to think about different outfits for date nights! Here are a couple of outfit ideas that I would wear (maybe more of the bottom option), but I figured that I should come up with a dressier alternative!
The soft and feminine outfit has two pretty lace dresses in soft and neutral colors (just to give you options!). I love the lace details on both dresses and I love sleeves on dresses n general, so they were right up my alley. I can’t tell you how many lace dresses I have, but it never hurts to get more! 🙂
The cool and edge outfit is more of something I’d wear. The boyfriend and I don’t normally get super dressed up for our nights out, so you’ll usually find me in skinny jeans, a pretty blouse, and heels. I love very sleek and minimal outfits.

Lace Up Shoes

Lace Up Shoes

In the past year, I’ve been falling in love with anything with lace ups! It’s probably because I see them on so many Instagram accounts and they add both edge and femininity to an outfit. Whether it comes to heels, flats, or sandals, the more the better in my eyes! The only problem I run into is having to take them off and being that I live in an Asian household, we always have to take our shoes off when we enter a house. Now imagine having to unravel your laces from around your ankles and then putting it back on when you leave the house! But other than that, I cannot stop buying them and probably won’t fall out of love with this trend for a while!
What do you think? 🙂
